Charred Tuna Steaks


Tuna has a firm flesh, which makes it great for grilling.  This Charred Tuna Steak recipe was excellent bursting with so much flavor as the spicy mustard mixture made the perfect glaze to baste with.  Ted love the glaze all by itself, that was too funny!   We both enjoyed the tuna steaks even though I am not a big fan of fish other than lobster, crab and shrimp.    It was good and healthy too.   Good way to try tuna!

Serves 4


4 Tuna Steaks

3 Tlbs light soy sauce

1 Tlbs Worcestershire sauce

I tsp fine sugar

1 Tlbs Sunflower oil


Place the Tuna in a shallow dish

Combine the light soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, sugar and oil in a small bowl. Pour over the tuna steaks, gently turn the steaks over to cover both sides well.

Remove the tuna steaks from the sauce and reserve the sauce for basting.  Grill on hot grill for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the steaks.

Once done you can garnish with some parsley and or lemon wedges.
