Tonight’s Glazed Grilled Turkey Steaks were a success! They were very tasty with a glaze which started to caramelize, while cooking. The turkey breasts were sliced in thin slices so the cooked up quickly and evenly. Ted and I love cooking with wine, this tasted superb with a hint of the nutmeg. I think we will be making this one again, for sure!
1/4 cup red currant jelly
2 Tlbs lime juice
3 Tlbs olive oil
2 Tlbs dry white wine
1/4 tsp ground ginger
pinch of nutmeg
4 thin turkey breast cutlets
Place the red currant jelly and lime juice in a pan and heat gently until the jelly is melted. Add the oil, wine ginger, and nutmeg.
Marinade the turkey cutlets in this mixture to coat both sides very well.
Heat the grill and once it is good and hot, add the turkey breaks grill about 4 minutes on each side. You can baste the turkey while its cooking with the marinade mixture for added flavor.
