Turkey & Spinach Salisbury Steaks


This recipe was so easy and so delicious!   Ted and I are big fans of spinach and this mixed so well with the ground turkey.  This was another meal that was like comfort food but very healthy and low calorie.  I served this with shredded beets with walnuts and cornbread stuffing….gluten free its great!   Total prep and cook time about 45 minutes, nice!What You’ll Need

1 pound 99% fat free ground turkey breast
1 package (10 ounces) chopped frozen spinach, thawed and well drained
1/4 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs ( Gluten Free)
1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Campbell’s® Healthy Request® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 clove garlic, crushed
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
1 package (8 ounces) sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup non fat milk

How to Make It

  • 1Thoroughly mix the turkey, spinach, bread crumbs, 1/4 cup soup, cheese and garlic in a large bowl.  Shape the turkey mixture into 4 oval-shaped patties.
  • 2Heat the oil in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the patties and cook until well browned on both sides.  Remove the patties from the skillet.
  • 3Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for 5 minutes or until the mushrooms are tender, stirring occasionally.  Stir in the remaining soup and the milk.  Return the patties to the skillet.  Reduce the heat to low.  Cook for 8 minutes or until the patties are cooked through.
